About Globalization
The Council for Entrepreneurial Development (CED), in cooperation with the Research Triangle Regional Partnership, TiE and the North Carolina Chinese Business Council, has developed the first-ever Globalization conference, scheduled for February 14 at the Embassy Suites in Research Triangle Park, N.C., to validate the globalization model for entrepreneurs.

What is Globalization 2008?
Globalization explores the vast world of entrepreneurship with constructive and thought-provoking discussions featuring international experts and industry leaders sharing best practices and sound advice for developing and sustaining a global model for companies of any size, in any industry. Through keynote speakers, panels and networking opportunities, the conference will bring international thought-leaders and service professionals together with entrepreneurs - of any stage and industry - to discuss the benefits, opportunities and strategies of “global entrepreneurship."
What will I learn?
The conference will showcase global trends in entrepreneurship including relevant industries, financing options, valuable resources and communications. Attendees will learn how to define and do business in the global marketplace, as well as obtain resources to protect intellectual property outside the U.S. and acknowledge and address cultural and communication differences.

Research Triangle Regional Partnership (RTRP)
The Research Triangle Regional Partnership (RTRP, www.researchtriangle.org/) is a business-driven, public-private partnership dedicated to keeping the 13-county Research Triangle Region economically competitive through business, government and educational collaboration. RTRP comprises economic development agencies across the region who works with the N.C. Department of Commerce and a wide range of partners to:

TiE-Carolinas
TiE-Carolinas is a not-for-profit organization with a mission to foster and support entrepreneurship in the Carolinas. This organization has three objectives: 1) To network and to facilitate networking among members. 2) To foster entrepreneurship and to nurture entrepreneurs. 3) To help membership integrate with the mainstream community.
TiE-Carolinas is an organization of individuals who share mutual respect and meritocracy as their core values.
