CED seeks award nominations in the following categories: entrepreneurial excellence, outstanding service to entrepreneurs, innovation/technology/product of the year, early stage of the year, and other noteworthy companies. The nomination form is available online at www.cednc.org/awards.
Additional details on the nomination categories for CED's 2004 Entrepreneurial Excellence Awards:
- Entrepreneurial Excellence Award -- Creativity, leadership, opportunity, recognition, personal drive to excel, persistence and the ability to inspire others - these are the traits that mark true entrepreneurs. The Entrepreneurial Excellence Award is presented to the entrepreneur or entrepreneurial team who combines these attributes with a winning business concept and achieves great success while providing a role model for aspiring entrepreneurs.
- Outstanding Service to Entrepreneurs -- The Triangle's vision and commitment to supporting entrepreneurship is what has elevated it above other regions. Knowing what is needed to make a difference is important; doing what it takes to provide our entrepreneurs with the resources they need gives our community its competitive edge. Through both their personal and professional service, the recipient of the Outstanding Service Award exhibits a strong commitment to helping entrepreneurs.
- Innovation/Technology/Product of the Year -- Transforming the entrepreneurial dream into the reality of a tangible product or technology that will solve a problem is the first defining benchmark for entrepreneurial success. This award recognizes the Triangle's best innovation-based products or technologies.
- Early Stage of the Year -- It takes guts to start a business in today's turbulent economy. This award recognizes a company that has shown great promise and achievement in its early stages.
- Other Stellar Companies -- In addition, if you know of other stellar companies and/or individuals you would like to nominate, please submit their name and contact info as well as a brief description as to why they are particularly noteworthy.
