Marty Clarke to Keynote CED's Third Engage Program
Sales Expert and Author Will Speak at CED's Engage: Sales and Marketing on June 24; Concurrent Panels Will Explore Sales and Marketing Keys to Success
May 19, 2004, Research Triangle Park, NC - The Council for Entrepreneurial Development (CED) today announced that Marty Clarke, an experienced sales executive, speaker and author, will keynote CED's Engage: Sales and Marketing. This upcoming event - the third in CED's Engage series - will be held in partnership with and at UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School from 4:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. on June 24.
During his keynote address at 6 p.m., Clarke will entertain and educate attendees with a discussion of sales and marketing keys for emerging businesses. Clarke, who is currently with Martin Production, spent over 12 years in various sales and marketing positions at MCI and BTI Telecom. In addition to his credits as a sales executive and speaker, Clarke is also an author. His first book, Communication Land Mines, 18 Communication Catastrophes and How to Avoid Them, was written directly as a result of his experience working in sales and marketing.
Starting at 5 p.m. and prior to Clarke's keynote address, Engage: Sales and Marketing will feature interactive sessions that delve into sales and marketing's impact on the innovation economy. Confirmed session topics at Engage: Sales and Marketing include the following:

In addition to Engage: Sales and Marketing, CED hosted Engage: Finance in January 2004 and Engage: Healthcare Industry in March 2004.
